The Ultimate Vancouver Travel Guide For Kids

Big cities are fantastic places for family-friendly vacations. Why? Because big cities mean  plenty to see and do!

We all know that traveling with children can be difficult and if there’s not a lot to keep them occupied, tantrums can quickly occur. However, if you’re thinking about heading to Vancouver, there’ll be no time for tantrums!

This is a very safe city that is easy to walk around and it is packed with plenty of things to see and do. Just outside of the main city you’ll also find plenty of natural, wide open spaces, which will allow your little ones to run off some steam. Many of the child-friendly attractions are also extremely exciting for adults too – double bonus!

Whether it’s raining, snowing, sunny, or anything else, let’s look at a few top activities you and your family might like to enjoy on your trip to Vancouver.

Education Aplenty at Science World

The aim is to help your children learn while having fun, because that way they don’t even know they’re learning! At Science World, that’s pretty easy. With shows, hands-on experiments, exhibits, and huge play areas, your children will not spend a second of their time here bored. They’ll learn about the human body, plants, the world, animals, you name it, it’s there.

Shopping at Kids Market

Most kids detest shopping but this will be a totally different experience! At Kids Market, you can find toys that are totally out of the ordinary, hand-crafted, and totally unusual. There is also a huge play area, and places to sit and have a coffee too. If your little ones need some new clothes, you’ll also find plenty of clothing stores inside the market.

A Chilled Out Beach Day

Kitsilano Beach is a beautiful spot and it’s ideal for children to run around, splash, build sandcastles and get rid of some of that pent up energy! It’s also ideal for adults to chill out a little too. This isn’t the only beach in Vancouver, as there are actually eight Pacific-lapped beaches to choose from, but this one is pretty ideal for families and a little quieter. Between May to September the beach is patrolled by lifeguards too.
