In 2012, Hélène Fransen was on a mission to find the perfect backpack for her son, Ralph. However, she soon discovered that the market didn’t offer what she was looking for. Fueled by her desire for quality and aesthetics and her son’s love for colors, Hélène sat down at her kitchen table to design a backpack that would meet both of their criteria.

The result was a colorful and sturdy backpack made without the use of bright-colored polyester. Hélène’s goal was to create a backpack that would not only reflect a child’s personality on the playground but also at home and on the street.

Although it started small, Ralph and Hélène were both pleased with the result. Soon, the spark of creativity spread to other parents and children at the school gate. Fast forward to ten years later, and Jeune Premier, Hélène’s brainchild, sells over 150,000 satchels worldwide each year.

Jeune Premier has become a trendsetter in the school fashion industry, with its unique designs and commitment to quality. The brand’s proud distributors now span across 37 countries, including France, Russia, the Emirates, and South Korea, with over 1000 retail outlets carrying their products.

The brand name “Jeune Premier” is derived from a Flemish term used to describe a well-behaved child who unexpectedly and conspicuously comes into the spotlight. The company’s philosophy is clear – “We don’t follow the trend, we are the trend.”

Jeune Premier’s school bags are designed for children up to 12 years old but are also intended to inspire parents with their exceptional quality. The brand aims to strike a balance between parents’ ideas and a child’s imagination – the ultimate compromise.
